F5 Web hero Illustrations

Illustrator and UX designer

I collaborated with our UX designer, Don Flora, to create new hero images for F5's resources page on AEM that better aligned with the F5 brand. Previously, abstract stock photos were used, but our goal was to establish a consistent look and feel across all pages for a cohesive user experience. We also partnered with the web producers to ensure the images were optimized for all breakpoints.

F5 and NGINX Customer Story hero images

Since F5 acquired NGINX, we've been gradually integrating NGINX into f5.com. For this project, our goal was to design a unified hero image for all F5 customer stories, while also creating distinct hero images for both F5 and NGINX customer story landing pages. This approach ensures that NGINX customers feel recognized and avoids confusion with NGINX now being part of F5.com instead of having its separate site.

I used red for the user icon for F5 customer story pages, and green for the NGINX user icon customer story pages.

F5 and NGINX blog hero images

I used the same design approach for these images as I did for the customer story hero images, but for the NGINX blog hero images, I incorporated the NGINX hex container. Since the blogs are more product-specific, the hex shape serves as a subtle reference to the NGINX logo.
